New Years Idea

So this year i'm not so much making a new years resolution, more like lots of new years ideas. One of the most fun ideas is that i am going to try to make lots of little mini quilts. I get this fabulous Quilting Arts mag every couple of months and i always want to test out the ideas and techniques in the magazines so this is the best way to learn and make of little art!

My first one is one that i started just after we moved in to our house. I played with paint and stitch and layers and edges. It's about 8x8".
I really like it. Batik fabric is wonderful and pretty and fun. My collection of fabric is growing alot - so this is a good way to use up some of that in a productive and totally fun way.
